MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION
Many regulators, certifications, and business accreditations will require the use of MFA for the purposes of confirming a login to a service is legitimate. At Consider IT, we configure and enable MFA for all end-users as standard since it is the single most-effective security control to prevent cyberattacks.
We also encourage our customers to take this a step further by restricting access to work data to work devices.
IDENTITY MANAGEMENT IN THE CLOUD
Typically, an identity refers to the user account which is performing an action. This is usually your business email address.
Many IT providers are stuck in a rut of doing server refresh cycles every five years or so, when in most cases the functionality that those services provide can be moved to cloud services like Microsoft Entra ID.
Contrary to popular belief, Microsoft Entra is a more secure way of managing access to your resources than your on-premises servers. By moving to a subscription model, the responsibility of physical security, network operations, and operating system maintenance & patching is handled by Microsoft, who operate 24/7 in over 60 regions worldwide to keep services available at over 99 percent of the time.
Entra ID is an identity management solution that is included in subscriptions like Microsoft 365 Business Premium as part of many other features which create a highly secure and productive workplace.
